What is permeable asphalt pavement?

The structural layer of permeable asphalt pavement can be composed of surface layer, base layer, base layer and cushion layer. The asphalt structure layer of permeable asphalt pavement itself belongs to the category of flexible pavement, but in addition to flexible materials, the base layer can be made of rigid cement concrete or semi-rigid hydraulic materials. The surface layer of permeable asphalt pavement is a structural layer that directly bears the repeated effects of wheel loads and natural factors, and can be composed of 1 to 3 layers.
The surface layer should be anti-slip and wear-resistant according to the requirements of use.
The dense and stable asphalt layer, middle layer and lower layer should be selected according to road grade, thickness of asphalt layer and climatic conditions.

The base layer is placed below the surface layer and together with the surface layer extends the repetitive effect of wheel loads to the base layer, mat, soil base, which acts as the main load-bearing layer.

The cementing material used in the more popular process in China is the special cementing material for light-colored asphalt that has been decolorized. After being metered out of the drum, it enters the mixing tank and is mixed with aggregates, mineral powder and other materials, and then added in the mixing process. The added pigments become the finished colored asphalt concrete after mixing evenly. Compared with the traditional production process, the new production process of permeable asphalt mixture has the following advantages:
1. The finished colored permeable asphalt oil has a wide variety of colors. If you want to produce concrete of various colors, you need multiple storage tanks with different colors of permeable asphalt oil. The new process uses decolorized permeable asphalt, and only one storage tank is needed. Yes, different colors of permeable asphalt concrete can be obtained by adding different colors of pigments in the mixing tank.
2. When the finished colored permeable asphalt is used, if the color of the permeable asphalt oil used is to be changed, the color of the permeable asphalt oil used last time remaining in the public pipeline will contaminate the color of the oil production used next time, which will greatly affect the appearance of the product. At the same time, due to the high price of the finished colored permeable asphalt, this is also a considerable waste. In order to prevent the mutual contamination of different colors of permeable asphalt, different color permeable asphalts use different barrel removal equipment and output pipes, and the equipment investment and It takes up a lot of space. If only one debarking equipment is used, the debarking equipment must be thoroughly cleaned when removing permeable asphalt of different colors, which is very time-consuming, manpower, material resources, and inconvenient. The new process uses color Permeable asphalt does not have this problem at all and has great flexibility.
3. After the finished colored permeable asphalt is removed from the barrel, if the storage temperature is between 120 °C and 140 °C, it should be parked for more than 3 hours for oil circulation to avoid pigment precipitation. Therefore, the storage tank should be equipped with corresponding circulation equipment to decolorize the permeable asphalt. It can be stored like ordinary permeable asphalt oil without precipitation.
